Houseguests, it’s time to compete for the Golden Power of Veto! All 9 of you are eligible to compete in this event.
Tonight’s competition is called “Going Once, Going Twice…”
In this competition, you will be participating in a silent auction. Each of you has been given 100 Big Brother bucks to spend on various items.
Each item has either a positive or negative point value. If you win an item, you will also earn or lose the specified point value. Items that may hinder your game will earn you points, while helpful prizes will subtract points from your score.
To win an item, you must give the highest unique bid (above $0) on that item. If there are no unique bids on an item, no one will get that item. So, for example, let’s say that Sheila, Sarah, Eddie, and Chelsia all bid on the same item:
Sheila bids $98
Sarah bids $100
Eddie bids $5
Chelsia bids $100
Sheila would win the item with the highest unique bid of $98.
Send me a PM with the items you are bidding on and the amount you are bidding on those items. If you choose not to bid on anything, send me a PM saying that you are not going to bid on anything. Each person is only allowed to send 1 PM. All bids must be whole numbers (i.e. you could not place a bid of $99.99).
All your bids added together cannot exceed $100. If you bid more than $100, you will be disqualified.
At the end of the auction, the Houseguest with the highest number of points will win the Golden Power of Veto. In the event of a tie, the Houseguest who spent less Big Brother bucks to earn that point value will win.
The deadline for this competition is tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 3) at 10 PM EST. However, I will reveal results early if everyone submits their bids before the deadline. When I post results, I will reveal whether or not someone has won each item, but I will not reveal who has won which item. Each Houseguest will receive a PM notifying them of which items they have won.
The items are below:
NULLIFY EVICTION VOTE (-3 points)
This item allows you to void the vote of one Houseguest of your choice. It can only be used in the upcoming vote. Before the eviction deadline, simply post the name of the Houseguest whose vote you would like to nullify.
HOH BONUS (-5 points)
This item will give you a bonus in next week’s HOH competition. At the competition, I will let everyone know who has the bonus and how it will work.
MYSTERY ITEM (-7 points)
This item is a mystery. The contents of this item will not be revealed to anyone except the person with the winning bid.
SILVER POWER OF VETO (-9 points)
This Veto power cannot be used on the person who owns it, but it may be used to remove another nominee from the chopping block. The power is only good for the following round (when 8 Houseguests remain). Because this is separate from the Golden Power of Veto, you will not be required to use it to save your branchmate.
The Silver Power of Veto ceremony will take place after the Golden Power of Veto ceremony has adjourned.
COLD ENOUGH FOR YOU? (-11 points)
With this item, you will cryogenically freeze yourself next round and come back to life the following round (when 7 Houseguests remain). You will be immune for the entire Final 8 round, but you will not participate in the HOH or Veto competitions and you will not cast a vote. You may still chat with your fellow Houseguests and you will still be required to post a confessional for the week.
LAUGHING GAS (+3 points)
What’s so funny? With this item, you will not be allowed to say anything other than “LOL!” for the remainder of the week. You may still post in your confessional and post your Veto decision if you win the Veto.
If you say anything but “LOL!” 4 times or more, you will receive a penalty nomination in the final 8 round (unless you win HOH) and will not be allowed to come off with the Veto. I will let everyone know who has this item when I post results.
GIVE UP VOTE (+5 points)
With this item, you will not be allowed to vote the next time you are eligible to vote. This does not apply to HOH tiebreaker votes.
NO VETO FOR YOU (+7 points)
Is this Veto more important than the next? With this item, you will forfeit your right to play for the Veto the following week in order to win 7 points.
PENALTY VOTE (+9 points)
With this item, you will receive 1 penalty vote the next time you are nominated. This goes into effect next round, when there are 8 Houseguests remaining. However, if you are nominated and come off with the Veto, your penalty vote will disappear. The last time this item will be in effect is when there are 5 Houseguests remaining.
PENALTY NOMINATION (+11 points)
If you take this item, you will automatically sit in the nomination chair next round unless you win HOH, in which case, the penalty will be lifted. The HOH will still nominate 2 people for eviction, making a total of 3 nominees. You will still be allowed to play for the Veto and take yourself off if you win it. Your fellow Houseguests will also be allowed to take you off with the Veto. If you are taken off the block, there will be no replacement nominee and there will only be 2 nominees for the week. If one of the HOH’s 2 nominees comes off with the Veto, he or she will have to make a replacement, and there will be 3 nominees going into the eviction.
None of these items may be transferred to another Houseguest.
Good luck, Houseguests.
