Week 9 - 3 Strikes and James is out

Leaving week 9

It was kinda sad to see Renny go, but not THAT sad, because in all reality she was still a person I considered to be competition.

Week 10 HoH

I loved the HoH this week - I really like the challenges where you have more time and are able to think things through. The ones that are more speed oriented are where I start to suck, but when I have time to think, I am a lot better at these things.

It didnt hurt that Lydia and I were working together on this one. We checked all of our answers with each other, and I think I actually helped her a fair amount. There are certain answers that she definitely would NOT have gotten had she been working on her own.

I got second in the challenge, but I am somewhat convinced I would have won if I had not helped Lyd with a few answers. Either way though, I am happy for her to get it because it means that I am safe this week, and Jeff MAY just end up leaving.

Secret Mission[/size]

Because I survived a vote, I was offered another secret mission. I think this has GOT to be the last time someone is offered it in this game because the powers expire at final 5. But to be honest, as much as a power would really be nice right now, it also isn't all that necessary. I am in a good position to get past the stages in which the power would help me anyways.

But I still decided to do the secret mission anyways. It was super easy to do, and I was able to get the safe combination.

However, I did not know which safe to pick. I picked safe 3, so I knew that one was gone, and I knew James had a power as well, so I think that meant there was one left. So I asked James which safe he opened, and he said safe 1. So I asked for safe 2.

So I open the safe, and it is clearly the safe that James took for himself. I do NOT understand his thinking - that was a dumbass decision for him. I was trying to keep him off the block, but if he is gonna give me the metaphorical finger, then I am gonna forget about trying to James.

If I win the veto tonight, I am gonna talk to Lydia first, but my plan will be to use it on Kevin when he is nominated, and have her replace him with James. That way, if he has the nullification power he HAS to use it. And now I wont even feel slightly bad about it.

James you calculated incorrectly. I did not really need that power. But you did need my allegiance. OOPS2YOU!

Nominations

OMG I GOT MY KEY! I knew I was gonna get it, but it felt VERY good to be off the block this week after such a close call last week. To make things even better, the nominations were set up in such a fashion that Jeff could PLAUSIBLY go home this week. Because as long as James used the nullification power, we (Jordan and I) were gonna have complete control over the vote.

To top it all off, James was not initially on the block I was actually really happy about. Not because I like him but because I was afraid that James might win the veto but still be pissed about the nomination and opt out of using the nullification as a big 'fuck you'.

What a disappointing outcome to a challenge. There went ANY shot of us getting rid of Jeff this week. And probably until final four unless his power expires at final 5. But I doubt that.

Scrambling

So after Jeff won veto, there was clearly gonna be a replacement nominee of either Jordan, myself or James. Well, with Lydia as HoH it is pretty obvious what was going to happen. James was destined to sit in the chair that Jeff just got out of.

The thing is though, he did not realize how tight Lydia/Jordan/I are. So he goes to Lydia trying to sell me down the river. He tries to say that I am working with Jeff in secret, and he tries to do the same with Jordan basically. He also said that I want to get in an alliance with him against the girls (which I did tell him, but only because I was trying to secure his vote last week). What he told her weren't exactly lies, but they were pretty misleading and skewed the truth immensely. Oh, and the part where he said I was working with Jeff was a complete lie.

It was a really bad decision for James to make. he tried to sellout BOTH of the votes he probably would have needed to stay this week.

Also, Jeff and I talked for the first time in quite a while. It was a weird conversation. He was acting like all hurt and stuff by my comments about his jury chances. Well, I don't buy it. I know he likes to manipulate people, and it would be very hypocritical to have such a thin skin when he treats people the way that he does. Anyways, I am being civil with him right now.

But I will take the moment to clarify that I don't ACTUALLY have beef with Jeff. I see why he betrayed me - it was a poorly executed move, but he could have really changed the game for his benefit if he got rid of me properly. When I am cutting him up on the boards and in conversations, it is to keep the focus on Jeff. Jeff is the only player who really seems to have picked up on how potentially dangerous Jordan/Lyd/I are, but if James or Kev caught wind of what was up, I would be in trouble. It doesn't help that I think I am viewed as the leader of them three, so I think I would go. So yeah, I am really trying to keep the mobilized front against Jeff.

Jordan and I talked, and Lydia and I talked, and the consensus is for James to leave. It seems like it is going to happen. Here is the deciding conversation between Jordan and I.

Anyways, where things are at right now is that I am simply gonna be praying that James has not fostered a deal with Jeff. That is his only shot at staying, but I don't think Jeff wants him around. I really hope that Kev is still kinda in Jeff's good books, and I will not have to deal with James anymore..
