The end is almost near and I think I should first take the opportunity to thank the host for an amazing game. The accusations, the quitting and the inactivity by some were completely unfair and the game was still as intense as it could possibly be.
Above anything else, Big Brother is a Social Game!
This is how I always describe the Big Brother Game. You can win a game without winning a single competition, but you cannot and WILL NOT win a game without the social skills. All you have to do is look at the 10 seasons of Big Brother [excluding S1] and you will see that I'm right.
Coming into this game, my strategy was to be the best social player there is because in the past, I couldn't rely solely on my competition skills. This game proved to me that as long as I put my mind to it and I need something badly enough, I can come out on top and I am damn good at it too. Although I absolutely recognized this is a game, I definitely took it as seriously as I possibly could without letting it get to me on a personal level. From the very beginning, I was in it to win it.
I made proper alliances, stayed true to the people I felt were true to me and most importantly, I played this game for myself. Sure I relied on my allies, but how can you possibly get by without having any to rely on. The main thing to focus on here is that I worked hard enough to earn the respect and security from enough people in order for me to able to rely on them. This game is cutthroat and making close allies is tough and time consuming, not to mention filled with paranoia. I went through stages of that, but I never let it get the best of me. It's all about taking risks and every single one of my risks have paid off. I relied on Roddy and Lydia to keep me safe when they were HOH, but they sure as hell wouldn't have done so if I didn't give them a reason to. They felt secure with me there and they saw me as an ally as well. I was also very important for their games as well because with my deciding votes and veto wins, I had quite a lot of power to send either of them home on several occasions. Our alliance went three ways and it dominated the second half of the game.
Besides for my social game, I also won competitions when it mattered to me most. I didn't win every single competition that I intended to, but I made the best out of it. I'm not claiming to be a competition whore, but that's okay because most people aren't. The fact is, I won enough competitions to secure myself in the Final 2 because those were the times I needed it most, I threw a bunch of HOHs to appear weak and not make any extra enemies and even when I didn't win and wanted to, I secured my safety through my social networking.
I used all aspects of the Big Brother game to my advantage. I had A LOT to deal with and this whole BBWarZone experience was completely new to me, but I handled myself very well and I molded my initial strategy to suit my needs for this game and even surprised myself with my competition abilities. Prior to questioning, some of you perceived my game as under the radar and passive, but I hope that I have proven you wrong because most of the time, what you don't see is far more important than what's on the surface. I hope my answers were satisfactory to you and I wish you guys the best of luck with your decision!
